The Old Gate Retreat

The Old Gate Retreat is a beautiful apartment located in the heart of Florence, just a short walk from the city’s main attractions yet away from the tourist crowds. It is set in one of the most peaceful and authentic areas, perfect for experiencing the city like a local. Ideal for families, couples, or groups of friends who want to explore Florence on foot.
The apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests.
It features two double bedrooms, each with its own balcony. From here, it is possible to enjoy views over the rooftops of Florence and spend quiet moments in the fresh morning air with a coffee, or relax in the evening with a glass of wine after a day in the city. The rooms preserve many original features, including exposed wooden beams and wooden floors. One of the bedrooms also has a private en-suite bathroom.
On the lower floor there is the living room, dining area, and kitchen. The space has been renovated while keeping the character of the house, and includes all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. The dining table comfortably seats four people, while the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing breakfast, lunch, or dinner to share together.
The Old Gate Retreat is located in a lively neighborhood with plenty of local shops, cafés, restaurants, wine bars, supermarkets, and everything needed during a stay in Florence.
From here, most of Florence’s main attractions can be reached on foot with a pleasant walk through the historic streets. The area is also well connected to the train station, offering frequent trains to some of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany, including Siena, Lucca, and Pisa, making day trips easy without the need for a car.
